- Why am I listed on this site?

is an online directory that connects fiber providers with fiber artists. There
are 3 ways to appear in our listing:
- You submit your listing information to us;
- We found your listing information using online searches or by visiting fiber trade shows, etc.;
- A 3rd party submitted your listing information to us.

- For listings received via 2 and 3 above, we will send you an email that introduces
us, verifies your information and gives you the opportunity to opt out of being
listed.

How do I update my listing?

- Please contact us anytime by email so we can update your listing.
- We will also send you an email every 6 months, asking you to verify your listing
information to keep
the
directory accurate.

If you are no longer in operation or would prefer not to be listed on
, please let us know and we will immediately remove your information.

Do I have to meet certain criteria to be listed?

Yes. In order to be listed on the local fibers directory, you must be one of the
following: an LYS (local yarn store), fiber distributor, ranch/farm, mill,
farmer's market, spinner, private fiber provider.

does not provide listings for finished fiber products such as apparel &
accessories, toys, home goods,etc. We connect fiber providers with fiber artists.

I meet the criteria for being
listed. How do I sign up?

Click on the "SUBMIT LISTING" menu at the top of the page of the site. Fill in
the requested fields and click the "Submit Listing" button at the bottom of the
page. An email with your listing information will be sent to us for review.

How long will it take before
my listing is live on
?

It usually takes us less than 24 hours to review your listing.

You will receive an email from us to confirm your information and to request a
thumbnail image for your listing. Once we receive your response, we will
activate your listing. This allows us to verify that you are a real person.

How much does it cost to be listed?

The current basic listing is FREE!

How will fiber
artists find my listing on
?

Most searches start with the
region or state of interest, unless the fiber artist knows the name of your
venture. By selecting "Fiber Finder" from the menu, a fiber artist can browse the listings by region
or state.

In the near future, we will have a more powerful search tool that enables a
fiber artist to search by many different criteria such as provider type (LYS,
mill, etc.), fiber source (animal, plant, organic, etc.), Zip Code, etc.
